In the era of cancel culture, this question has become ever more relevant. In answer, Belle and I formed While(True) — an AI band — to introduce AI into this ongoing conversation of separating the art and the artist.

is a concept collective that attempts to use AI to extract and remove the presence of controversial artists from their music to further spark questions related to creativity, ethical consumption of art, and the future of creation.
In a music video, online social media presence and merchandise, While(true) creates an identity inspired by the ambiguity and fluidity of this debate and the complex nature of this issue. In this edition we use Kanye West’s “Facts.”
